It's Thanksgiving Day. I'm still in my pajamas. We're watching the parade. Kate, Kelly & I are making garland out of construction paper & ribbon. I have a hot cup of coffee. Kyle has already made me want to puke about 3 times. Ruby has started laughing at herself & is wearing Elmo slippers. Zack is home & may I add, really cute & warm & cuddly. Just a few things to be really thankful for.
I am viewing it all through cloudy vision due to the sudden onset of pink eye. Fun! (Thank goodness I was babysitting for Ruby's pediatrician's kids yesterday & she called in a prescription for me).
I am beyond blessed & I am truly grateful. For the big things, for the little things for the hard things & the abundant things.
I wish I could say this is always my perspective but alas, I am terribly human.
I have this on my refrigerator as a gentle reminder (from Oprah):
"And whenever you can't think of something to be grateful for, remember your breath. With each breath you take, you can say- 'I am still here.' Make each day a holiday of thankfulness & give yourself the gift of gratitude."
I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving & were able to catch a glimpse of the Rockettes Christmas-y crotches.
