oooooo! oooooo! i just found this & had to share immediately. (because I know all of you 4 readers check this every hour just waiting for my next post).

i've only gotten through a couple pages & am loving loving the wise words, bits of poetry & artwork written & created for her wee one.

here are a couple that stood out to me:

#57 There are some topics of conversation that a lot of people like to talk about, but very few people like to hear about.

In general, I suggest saving these topics for your close friends: Your physical aches and pains, the content of your dreams, intimate details of your personal relationships, whining of any kind.

#53 Listen to music around your house.

Your dad appreciates music in such a powerful way that it is hard to understand what it does to him. You are part of him and therefore it is likely that listening to music will have the same effect on you.

#51 If you flip off other drivers on the road you will usually feel stupid afterward.

#2 Try to know what is bubbling around inside your heart.

Your heart is a great river after a long spell of rain, spilling over its banks. All signposts that once stood on the ground are gone, inundated and carried away by that rush of water. And still the rain beats down on the surface of the river. Every time you see a flood like that on the news you tell yourself: That's it. That's my heart.
